I am originally from Devon in the South West of England and have lived in Southern Spain for the last 17 years. Please listen to me here! I have a BA honours degree in Tourism Management and French and have had a TESOL English teaching qualification since 1999.
I have worked in both a real classroom and online classroom environment with children between the ages of 3 and 18 teaching general English, and also all levels of adults from elementary to advanced English as well as TOEFL and Cambridge exam preparation.
My teaching methods and style are fully flexible and lessons are tailored to focus on students needs according to their goals and objectives with emphasis on speaking.
I believe that learning a language should be fun and like to include a variety of different materials and media in lessons to make them enjoyable and interesting as well as practical.
Having studied foreign languages myself, I understand how daunting it can be and the difficulties involved in building confidence, expressing yourself and getting to grips with grammar. I am passionate about teaching English and get a great deal of satisfaction from seeing my students’ progress.
When I am not teaching I enjoy reading, skiing, creative writing, visiting new places and of course, learning new languages.
